If you think Prust deserves a tribute VIDEO, then your outside of your mind (to anyone who voted yes on that). He'll get an ovation his first shift when he 10000000% will fight either Mashinter or Asham, people will clap, and that should be the end of it.
Don't get me wrong I miss Prust, but this shouldn't happen, and it most likely will not.

@slapshot13j He IS a top 5 player in the NHL right now. He made Lundqvist look pedestrian with that wrist shot a few games ago and then absolutely blew one by Hedberg like he wasn't even standing there against the Devils the other night.
Going to be a special player, so young and finally finding his game.

@KevinDeLury I don't disagree, but I can't help but poke fun at someone who gave Rick DiPietro a million year contract.
I like the Islanders team to be honest. If they can get a defenseman and a goaltender (assuming they're buying out dipietro) then they'll be competitive.
Del Zotto & Kreider for John Tavares is the only trade I'd make currently.
Garth Snow might just be stupid enough to do it.
Just saw this collision for the first time. Scary. Having gotten concussions myself, this is definitely one. Hope he doesn't end up like Sauer (who I miss).
Really like Powe's game. Kills penalties, and brings a combination of speed/skill/grit to the 4th line that we haven't seen in a while. Powe/Halpern/Asham have quietly done the job, and Torts trusted them as they were getting shifts late in the Boston & Islander games.

@KevinDeLury It starts with a win tonight.

Getting into the playoffs is obviously paramount. No team, I don't care who, is going to want to face Henrik Lundqvist in a 7 game series.
That being said, I think tonights game is an absolute MUST win. In regulation preferably, but we'll take the win. Can't continue to go back and forth at the .500 mark. Have to get off to a good start and establish the forecheck early. I'd say getting the first goal tonight would be extremely important, even more-so than usual.
His role on this team is also different; in Columbus he was IT. They had nothing else. Here, by merely being on the ice he opens up a ton of space for his line-mates (See Hagelin). While I'd sure like to see more goals, I have no doubt they will come.
