Electricity bills are really a pain. We are trying hard to change our habits to reduce the energy consumption at home. We also get the kids to do the same. I was wondering if I can have my bills assessed to see if there are any room for savings. I'll just give it a try.

Well said. At home, we set a food plan for the entire week. It saves us time and so that we can set a budget as well. If we plan to eat our, we plan ahead to so that we can find the printable coupons if there are any.

You start saving at home. You show the rest of your family that you are practicing the habit of saving and they will follow. When they see that you are turning off the lights, removing the plugs, and turning off the heater when they are not needed, you are setting a good example to your children. They will do the same thing.

Hubby and I didn't go out either. He just got me a one long-stem rose, which I think is really sweet. After dinner, we spend the rest of the night watching Lord of the Rings. That is perfect for me already and we didn't spend too much.

These are good tips Charissa. At home, my dad used to have this bad habit of watching TV until he falls asleep. A total waste of energy because even if there's a timer, it still consumes power. The utility bill got really high one time and so he was forced to changed this habit.

We had so much fun last SuperBowl. Yes, there were no fancy decorations or invites. Just phone calls and words were passed over. We saved more because not only did the guys bring their own beer, they also brought some food. We're gonna go with potluck again next year.
