Eat Healthy don't diet...  I have started showing my kids what a serving size is - we measure cereal, snacks, everything.  That way my son knows how much he can eat.  Also, have healthy snacks and again use serving sizes.  I also encourage my kids to drink water if they are hungry.  There are lots of Wii games which require physical effort.  My kids love to do Wii Fit!
