I agree with these comments. Don't " diet" just cut out the sugar other than the occasional reward even then you can make some fun healthy snacks. You can always find fun stuff that's healthy for kids. For games ask them to use their imagination to come up with a physical movement activity. That's always important. Then They feel like they are helping out with things.
