@4everis2long @TySun If the Suns can get Noel, especially if he drops because of the knee injury, I'm all for it. The Suns could let him rehab with the Warlocks. If they could package a player and a pick, maybe a possible Fakers Lottery 1st, to move up and pick another player like Oladipo or Porter to go along with Noel that would be awesome. Go Suns.
Just finished ATL v Fakers. Just say no to Josh Smith. Go Suns.
Strong game by the Dragon, and how about them twins! This is crazy. Another ho-hum night by Gortat. I don't even know what the Suns can do with him this off season. I still hope the Suns find a way to get a high pick to get Nerlens Noel. Go Suns.
@TySun, I'm more of the mindset to take Noel, a defensive presence once he returns, re-sign JO if possible, and try to get a wing later in the draft. Defensive bigs are hard to come by in this draft, scoring wings seem to be more available. The Suns aren't going to fix everything in one draft but they should start with defense and then find their offensive players. Worst case scenario the Suns suck for another year and have a chance at a top pick in what seems to be a loaded 2014 draft. If Noel is available when the Suns pick they should take him. If they can use Gortat and the Fakers pick to move up and get someone who slips out of the top 8, like Shabazz seems to be doing, then go for it. Otherwise, take who was the consensus #1 until he went down with his knee injury. Go Suns.
From one of their worst games this year (v. Timberwolves), albeit it was a win, to one of their best games of the year (v. The Spurs). And doing this while Gortat struggled from the field. This win was fun, almost as fun as beating the Fakers. I still hope the Suns find a way to get Nerlens Noel in the upcoming draft. Go Suns.
What just happened? Has anyone seen the clip of Manu Ginobli and James Harden flopping at the same time. That's how this game felt. Both teams seemed to be faking it, just doing their best to lose. Go Suns.
BTW, Is it just me or does it seem like Gortat wanted out of Phoenix by the trade deadline but really screwed the pooch with his inconsistent play. Last night he could've shown his value to a contender, (I'm looking at you OKC), but came out and played mediocre/poorly at best. Even if I wanted to alleviate some cap pressure for my team why, as the GM of OKC would I give a pick, a young talent, and a defensive center who doesn't need the ball in his hands for Gortat, who has been crying about not getting enough touches already! Gortat F'ed himself in the last three weeks. Go Suns.
At least the Suns are getting some picks in return for players. Bassy hasn't been in the rotation so better to get something for nothing. Hopefully the pick the Suns sent to Houston was the Denver 2nd rounder. Anyone at VOTS have any info on that? Hopefully JO gets moved and maybe some team panics in the last 15 minutes prior to the deadline and the Suns can fleece them of a 1st ala Houston/Phoenix circa 2011. Go Suns.
I wonder if this is a precursor to sending out either jermaine or Gortat or both. Keef could play the 5 in a small ball lineup with Marcus playing the 4. Just wondering. Go Suns!
Um, what? The Suns don't need any more SF/PF's. I know it only costs the Suns a 2nd round pick but I hope that when this trade is finalized they get something else thrown in. Go Suns.
Goodbye Bassy. Hello 2nd round pick. Go Suns.
@arizona_jim I like that idea. I wonder if the LAC would give up Deandre Jordan, Trey Thompkins, and a 1st for Gortat, Morris, and a 2nd. The Suns would take on some salary from Jordan's contract but he is only 24 and he would move the Suns towards a more youth movement. Go Suns.
Why is every article on ESPN only available for Insider accounts? What a joke! Oh, and if the Suns can't get a late future 1st round pick or young talent in a trade for him (by himself or in a package deal) they should just hold on to him and trade him on draft day. It seems to me that a draft day trade for a late 1st round pick would be easier because teams can see what's available to draft and weigh their options. Go Suns.
What the hell did I just see! 14 sec left in the game, down by 6, and no fouling to put the Fakers on the line and extend the game? WTF is Lindsey Hunter doing?
The Suns got Rickrolled tonight! Go Suns
Whether the Suns win or lose, I'm going to root for them. It just sucks because the disparity between the Suns and the top teams in the league just seems so vast. Sometimes I wonder, how long is it going to take for the Suns to become a top tier team again. Hopefully Dudley can get some minutes again, he deserves them, Gortat can get his game on track, his value is dropping every game, and the Suns can start to play with more consistency. Right now all this team is is consistently inconsistent. Go Suns.
@Sunsfan4life I like the idea of getting Bogut, but I don't know if even the Sun's warlocks could keep him healthy for a full year. I think that having to trade the better of the two 1st rounders (between the Fakers and GSW).would be a deal breaker. Not only would the Suns help the GSW's in the salary cap area, but they would be giving up a relatively healthy Gortat for an injury prone Bogut. Just because he is a better player doesn't mean he will necessarily be worth the risk plus a 1st round pick. I think the Suns should do what they can to stockpile more future picks and maybe, if they can't get Noel in the draft, go after a player later in the 1st round like Willie Cauley-Stein. A big defensive presence in the same mold as Tyson Chandler.
@4everis2long He wants out. He wants to be on a contender. He knows the Suns aren't going to pay him. I just hope they can get something of value for him. Go Suns.
@4everis2long @PhxSunsFanInLA I think if Marshall can be efficient from the field and be a good floor general I would be happy. Hopefully he can become a strong backup PG for this team. I'm just worried that this team/FO is more worried about saving face. If Garrett gets no floor time I would be curious to see if its because they don't want to admit they made a poor draft choice. No one likes to give up on 1st round picks but plenty of times players just don't pan out. Conversely, there are times where 2nd round picks/undrafted players can bring more to that same team. Go Suns.
I hope to see a little burn for Garrett tonight, especially if the game gets out of hand early. I haven't been able to see him play so it would be nice to see him on the court. Go Suns.
