Haha.. Now that's a good story :) I was so happy to put the Mine's stickers on my car! Mike, the last picture in chapter 3, the black sticker with the red hand doing an "O", what is this for a sticker? Rocket Bunny?

Great coverage! In one way i understand the other big tuners as well. Under Suzuki's car is from another planet, and that guy sure has the right budget and engineers to take it to this level. And he's a privateer..Which means to me he is living his passion.. Other tuning companies do this as their daily job, they do this to survive every month. Imagine you spend 300-400k for a demo car which does not compete in any form of championship (besides Global Time attack) or anything comparable. So you have a masterpiece of engineering, a true legend, and all you get is the respect! It sounds crazy, but nowadays you can't live only of the respect... Well, take the Lexus LFA for expample, maybe the greatest japanese car ever produced. Every car Lexus sold, they lost money on it, but it's Lexus.. They can get away with this. For me personaly it would be great to see Mine's and MCR competing again, as a true child of Best Motoring these were my heroes!

But going out from the Lap Time, it's like a JGTC car or even faster? I can't remember but didn't Tsuchiya-san with the Arta NSX set a similiar laptime around there?

@Other Will @Gianluca FairladyZ  Alright, i see... But I don't think this should be an argument for Nissan, to not build entry level sportscars of this type. Let's take an example of BMW. They have tons of entry level cars like the 125i or 135i, now there's even the 2 series cars... I bet, that both of them surpass the target emission laws... Anyway, I hope that Nissan will bring anything interesting to life... Dino's right they buildt the new GT-R, but that amount of money already creates a big handicap for normal life people. I think it's now or never.. It's up to Mr Ghosn...

@speedhunters_dino  That's great! Good to see these events on speedhunters. But two things that make me sad is when i read that Nissan is going to use the Mercedes powered engines for future Infiniti rebadged Sky's, and more that they are trying to convice that they don't need powerful cars anymore. I mean come on, in the early 90', it wasn't a Nissan Micra or a Nissan Pao that made this brand so attractive to us! The S-Chassis, Z-Cars and the mighty Skylines were " gold class anni 90 " for me! So what in the name of god is going on there? Is there an oil crisis like back in the 70' that i'm not aware of or what? I think i'll just have to continue saving up money for an older generation GTR, to get the last slice of true Nissan cars.

Good work Mike! Like your articles a lot! But let me know one thing that i'm not sure about, cause i'm an absolute beginner in kyusha cars. Is this true that a genuine C10 and the later Kenmeri GT-R used the DOHC engine ( the one they shared with the S30 432 ) ? From the valve cover of the blue-gold Kenmeri this should be a SOHC engine, so that ain't a GT-R model right? Any input is welcome :D

@BrentBynum  mate i am an absolute fan of what you did. i'm planning exactly the same thing like you. i'm planning to go 3 weeks next year with a good friend of mine. Is it difficult to get along there with some basic japanese? And how are the people there, when a "gaijin" comes to have a friendly chat about the both shared passion?

@US student i don't know what your problem is. I'm an ex student as well, but this school was my entry ticket to a famous swiss tuner, i even had the honor of building a GTR for a rally legend who's name i am not permitted to tell. i feel sorry that you feel it that way, because the school itself is a great springboard for future career. it does not mean that it has to be in the auto design sector...

i agree that the builds are not on a pro-level, absolutley, but these guys in france give people (who are willing to inverst 12000 dollars in their future) who don't have the afinities of a mechanic or a designer a chance to come in touch with it and make some very important expierience. in the end, what you do with this expierience is up to you.
