@white531 Oh I definitely agree he was a remarkable man and president. My only point is that what is good for the goose is good for the gander, as the saying goes. If Obama wants to pretend that he's not in the mix on these things and what-not, then I'd say it's time to beat him over the head for being detached from the rest of his administration, even if it is a farce.
1 year, 7 months ago on Daily Show mocks Obama for always pleading ignorance when asked about scandals
I was born in '76, so I didn't know the politics of when Reagan was president when I was a kid. Having read some books on him by his opponents and even some of their writings during the centennial celebration on the web, this is what they beat Reagan over the head with. That he didn't have control over his administration. That everyone was run amok because he didn't grab them all and lead, or whatever.
It seems to me that if Obama is finding out all this stuff from the news (which I don't believe, but for the sake of argument...), then he is guilty of the same thing that they find as a fault with Reagan. It seems WAY worse in this case, though, as it is multiple scandals happening.
@D2FXRayG Awesome! I was trying to rack my brain about what game he was talking about. Now that I see it, it definitely looks like a game I would've sunk some quarters into.
1 year, 7 months ago on 034 – Totally Jason Lamb
I have to say that Bruce Lee is my favorite fighter guy. I can't remember his name and am too lazy to Google (that's bad, huh?), but it's the guy on one of the later Street Fighter 2 releases that looks like Bruce Lee. That's what we all called him at our local arcade... "I'm gonna be Ryu!" "Well I'm gonna be Bruce Lee!"
As for beat 'em ups the first that comes to mind is Skate from Streets of Rage 2. I LOVE hopping on the backs of enemies and punching their heads haha I am also partial to Gilius Thunderhead from the Golden Axe games though, so it is a toss up between them for me.
Ugh, there was other stuff I wanted to comment on, but I don't remember what the heck it was now. I listen while at work, and should probably jot down notes on what I want to say so I remember the next day. Maybe I'll re-DL and listen again.
Anywho, pity vote! Yes, I went there. At least you tried to defend it somewhat Hunter hahaha

"I listen to Mark Levin every night and he is not ‘destroying’ Marco Rubio at all."
That was the first thing I thought too, Scoop. It seems to me that everyone puts their own spin on it. You have Luntz saying Rubio is "getting destroyed" over this, and others telling Mark that he's being too easy on him haha If anyone has listened to Mark's show, they should have noticed the demeanor in which he speaks about the bill, how he speaks to/about Rubio; respectful as all get out.

I really wish I had this, because this is one of my favorite games on the NES. I would love to know if the password system was still on this version, or if there were still unlimited continues, or if some of the enemies that were added for our version are in there yet.

I was going to vote for Gangster Town from the get-go. I have always loved that game. And yes, the light phaser is way cooler than the zapper (what's up with that clang CLANG sound?)!
The arcade discussion was awesome and had a lot of what I have said for awhile now too. Just as you guys mentioned that consoles became better and started killing off arcades, and Patrick Scott Patterson the other day mentioned that TV is on the way out, I've been saying the same about movie theaters. I can't even enjoy our local theater because our house is better, and we're not even rolling in dough!
I definitely think Hunter was good enough on this episode to keep the position ; )

It was pretty cool, and I got to hear where some of the inside jokes came from. Good stuff : )
I don't even know what to pick out of these three. I haven't played any of them, but the Gekibo Boy game looks the most original, if even a bit slow-paced. I guess I will vote for that one.

I am continually amazed at the size and scope of the projects that regular people take on. This, the Duke Nukem mod mentioned earlier today, and I believe I heard you guys discuss Streets of Rage Remake on an early podcast. 1 year, 8 months ago on Attack of the Variants
@Bigjoe91 Whoa, that site has screw variants included in their lists?
This is one of those things that I can't get on board with collectors about; variants. For instance, the only variant I think I would ever want on NES would be the Metroid yellow label. But then I wouldn't care about having the black box version. Some people get so intricate with how many screws are in the back of a cartridge and so-on. Different shades of coloring used on a label... just boggles my mind.
To each their own though!
I had no idea that there was a MM variant for N64 that went for that much. Eek!

Hunter, I was VERY bummed to hear you don't dig the MGS series! You made up for it big time though as a defender of E.T. : ) It has always been one of my favorite Atari games, and I had never heard of people disliking it so much until I got on the Internet.

I almost went with Saturday Night Slam Masters. I was nearly convinced just because Haggar is on it! haha I agree that Rampage is too long, entirely too long. @NintendoLegend Awesome! Good to hear that my brain is still remembering things like this haha Just as one more thing that I _think_ I remember, he was the 4th one listed on the pages, right? The mini-reviews had four people, and I seem to remember his being the bottom-most?
BTW, I think issue #13 was the first one I ever bought. We were on vacation in Arkansas, and it had the first pics of The Mafat Conspiracy, and I LOVED Top Secret Episode, so I begged my parents to let me get it. I was hooked on the mag for a very long time after that. I was into EGM, and my buddy Shawn was into VG&CE (Video Games and Computer Entertainment). Good times.

Another good one guys! I had to go with Moonwalker. After pointing out that everyone else was on the take from the mafia, it was clear that only Michael could pull it off. Silver Surfer is great, but takes a lot more patience and practice to get through the whole game (hard to just pick up and play). Demon Sword as mentioned, can be annoying with the Up to jump. Still all good games though.
On RPGs, have any of you ever played Suikoden 1 and 2 for the PS1? These are the ones that are still old-school style RPGs, overhead instead of 3D. Part 2 is the better of the two, but you can take the save file from part 1 and apply it to the second game. These are my favorite RPGs ever!
As for Missile Command for the NES, there was never one made during the life cycle of the NES, but there is a homebrew out there! It's called Thwaite, and was made by Damian Yerrick. It is a bit different as there is a limit to your ammo, and it is structured by days you have to defend the town (kinda Paperboy-ish). The trail that your shots and the missiles leave behind is pretty cool, too. Here's a link to it:

Our youngest is like that right now, as he JUST started learning to walk. It's hilarious when they are trying to keep their balance and pick up speed, like that is going to help them haha But then that part you talked about, the "AH!" part, happens. @911infidel You'll have to help me out a bit here, as I never got to know the names of any of the buildings.
