RE: Nate's answer. I think I'll be a little relieved when Vontae goes too, especially after seeing another team (presumably) pay way the hell too much for him.

I was laughing aloud when I saw this.

Will do. Thanks.

@authorbeard That's a very good point about the trade.

@AaronStackhouse Yeah, it's hard to predict how a guy will do. We'll just have to see him play.
First off, I DO want to know what you'd like to read this offseason.
I wish I had a story like that. All I have is a transcript of a D'Qwell Jackson conference call (which isn't too bad, btw). Maybe I should drive up to the north side and knock on Reggie's door and ask if he's been working with D'Rick. Think he'd call the cops?

@smonroe Maybe he'd be a good guard. Who knows

@paulcareyjr @apom95I'll drink to that :)

@apom95 I have some concerns about him too, but he's only had one season with injury issues. Hopefully, the negative grades came in part form playing for a horrific team that was always behind. I don't like the price or his age, but I don't mind being a little optimistic in March.
and by "truly an upgrade," I mean not De La Puente.

I couldn't get his 2013 FO numbers either. But it looks like 2013 was no exception. *breathes sigh of disappointment*

@mshah9008 I think they needed another productive guy alongside Freeman. Curious to watch some film on Jackson now and see why those PFF grades are so low.

@Payton I couldn't remember how to get his FO numbers beyond 2012, so I left them out. Hoping he can be a more effective tackling machine here in Indy.
Yeah, being 5'8" is going to hurt that guy's search for a big payday. I really hope they re-sign Vontae.

Oh wow. Thanks for sharing the article on Verner. I guess they do still play a lot of zone in Tennessee.

@naptown_ninja I agree. I think Hughes is actually a 3-4 end (or DT in the Colts' scheme), despite having NT size. They have him lining up to the right of the NT. For all you and I know, that could change next year, of course.
As far as breaking the bank for a 3-4 nose tackle, I haven't really seen any good ones on the market. Have you? The guy from Baltimore is a FA, but they don't seem to want him back, which can't be good.

I plan to finish up another of these for tomorrow (or Monday, I'm behind). I'll try to add those two in.
I was most surprised to see how well Redding and RJF were graded. The looked good to me, but with the struggles of the run D, I thought their PFF grades would be lower. I agree. They really might just need one more guy up front. Maybe they'll be looking for one of those mythical creatures known as 3-4 nose tackles.
Gonna try to finish another of these for tomorrow. I'll add Jones if I do.
@BrownMamba13 I bet he'd be an affordable one. He came on strong late in the season and finished with an overall 3.6. That sounds low, but it's above average, which is very good for a backup. He only played 242 snaps, so it's a small sample size, but he's nowhere near a full time guy, which makes him cheap.
