Good call. They guy has hands like a tight end, too. If we're gonna be seeing this fullback thing for a while, I hope it's Havili or someone similar. He's athletic, has better hands than anyone would expect, and he *usually* can run a good route.

@matt_has @DougEngland At this point, I'd settle for a rolling ball of plastic butter knives.

Okay, first, I look forward to this each week. Second, I never found Chuck on this one. And finally, that Ham, Bacon, and Feta cheese sandwich sounds pretty good.

*guilty*I went ahead and read that one today. I usually don't give him any clicks.
They have some good guys over there though.

One of the media guys today quoted Reggie Wayne as saying to expect to see a lot more of Da'Rick. Dunno if it was from his show in WNDE or some other interview today.
I think if Reggie were healthy, we wouldn't be as worried about the offense. It wasn't great, but with one more truly reliable receiver, they look a great deal better.
I thought they'd try trading Hass this year, especially after Reggie Wayne's ACL tear. Then again, after that Richardson trade, they may have priced themselves out of the trade market for awhile.

I think Nixon may just be a depth guy, but there sure are a bunch of them with big opportunities due to injuries.

Wow, you're not kidding. I just saw one of those articles. Good points about Grigs and Pagano, but seriously a bunch of crap about Richardaon not having competitive drive because he handled things like a pro.

@DougEngland Scheme could have had something to do with it too, but New Orleans had one amazing offensive line that year. I was nervous about that game. The Saints were a far better team, and the damn national media were portraying them as some kind of underdogs, like 1999 Gonzaga (basketball).

@AJ_ @glwilliams4 @chip_bennett If Brown wasn't so low profile, I'm sure Mike Florio would jump on that.
@matt_has @Payton I don't think Brown's body can hold up playing like that all the time, though. He needs some help from another back - like, say, one who appears built for dragging guys downfield - and he isn't getting it. He had so few carries early in the season, though, hopefully he'll still be fresh for the playoff game (I do hope there'll be more than one).

@squirrel @hankster Comment of the week.
@hankster @Payton *sighhhhhhhh* Let's hope not.
@erhall01 lmao. I thought he could come in and catch 55-60% of his targets (close to his 2011 production) and be better than Avery's 47%, or whatever it was. I was WRONG. So wrong.
DHB started out looking respectable, and after the first four games, he fell off a cliff. I feel badly for the guy, but I just don't know why he's starting anymore. Apparently, his backups aren't much better if at all.
Yesterday, I tweeted that when I drop something around the house, the verb is "DHB."
Thanks, man. And thanks for reading. Great work over at the eagleseyeblog, too :)

@Payton They had a good offensive line in the early part of the Manning era. Oh, how I miss that group.
This was hard to watch. It's a wonder Luck wasn't sacked more. I love a win, and I enjoyed the hell out of that touchdown drive, as well as at least one of the FG drives. But the team we've seen in November isn't going to make any noise in the playoffs.

@matt_has @BDiddy I think the receivers need to shoulder some of the blame for this one as well. This looked like the 94-96 Colts, which were pretty good teams, no doubt, but not nearly as good as this one should be.
@thellamajockey I just don't think their backup tight ends - and that includes some they've cut, like Cunningham and Jones - are good enough to be a factor in the passing game. There's just not a Bryan Fletcher or Jacob Tamme type on this team. These backups are slow, plodding old school tight ends, intended to help in the power running game.
Benching T Rich was a big move, and it took them a looong time to pull the trigger on it. They 're super loyal to their guys. I just don't know if DHB is going to the bench or not. Also, I don't see the guy being back here next year. The Colts needed to address the future of either WR or OLB in the draft. They picked OLB, and ended up dealing with what we are seeing now. It's a shame.
