Maybe when they are talking about burn the house down ...that is some sort of slang for just throwing the tear gas or smoke grenades ...does anyone know if this is possible ?

@majrod interesting who did they say took him down I haven't read yet on that ...any info interested in that .
@majrod I don't know either Maj ...its just this was caught by a local news station KCAL 9 they were not supposed to even be there if you go to youtube , put in Chris Dorner fire it is the middle of the page just look for BURN THAT #%#%#% HOUSE DOWN ...its right there the actual police audio the station caught on tape ...It just makes you question is all I am saying ....really wasn't too cool when they shot up the civilians truck and injured those women out throwing papers ...that just showed the LAPD are very poorly trained in dealing with certain situations in my opinion.
I don't support Dorner in any way but I do support the Constitution and due process ....and I do not support the media that really had to hype this story as some crazy vet as gone crazy , the way they kept showing Dorner with guns in every picture and in his military fatigues...I just don't think that was right.
You know you can find out the truth yourself it is very easy to search for the Police audio picked up by the local news station if you just search it ...
They still have not found a body ...so we will just have to wait and see on this one
@HugeFan @StormR you are right we will let history sort out the true facts as it often does either one way or another and just leave it at that.

I apologize if I was coming across as argumentative , just foreign affairs are lot more complicated than any of us like to believe and confusing at times to even our brightest minds.
This whole article describes what they call a false flag operation ...been used all the way back to the Roman days. Cesar bragged of how if he could beat the drums of Patriotism loud enough he could get the people to bend to any of his will ...and for a time it worked even for him ..but only for a time.

@Sonnys Mom No we are doing a excellent job of enslaving ourselves with our giving into our irrational desire to be 100 percent safe all the time ...Just think if we taught our kids this way they would never set foot outside the door , much less play in the yard. We are stronger and tougher people than this to be afraid of every bogeyman out there. We deal with the problem but not by playing into the very goal of terrorism in the first place , and that is to instill fear.
Excellent article ...It takes great courage to sometimes look at the situations and decide on one action or another warfare or peace. But a man or woman must have the character , the intelligence and fortitude to stick to what they believe is right no matter what the cost in choosing either. As has been stated many times before in many instances " war is just politics in disguise. " The nature of war and being a warrior are two different things , one is a lifestyle of self reliance , being prepared and duty , the other is a action that should only be arrived at with the heaviest of hearts.
The real question is where do they think the line stops in our pursuit of safety and security ...Just when do we start having to really examine what old Ben Franklin said about ..They who can give up essential liberty to obtain a little temporary safety, deserve neither.

@StormR You really need go back and examine the Carter adminstration's and the Reagan years when it came to how they dealt with this part of the world ...and then tell me we had no hand in destabilizing this region in our fear of the Soviets at the time.
What do you think about this maybe be training exercises for a possible invasion of Iran ...Do they not have a lot of cities and territory that is urban ? The Israeli's have already said that they might be planning some kind of strike in the Spring or Summer as far as their red line is concerned , could this just be preparing for the outcome that might come out of that? ....I still think it is highly unsafe to conduct these exercises over US cities as accidents do happen , and have happened in the past ..and just from a PR standpoint it would be disastrous if one of these choppers crashed into a civilian building or killed countless civilians.

Just want to get some informed input what do you guys and gals think of the new Patriot act being signed ... I think it's called NDAA but this time around it has wording that even American's on American soil can be detained indefinately without trial if suspected of terrorist acitvity....Just wondering your opinion's on this ?...........Glad to be a new member of this community and look forward to many fun , intelligent conversations in the future.
@Tango9 No but he had no problem bragging about it every time he got in front of a microphone or on tv

I agree with every bit of this but the required outpatient act ...you put something like this in place and you open very dangerous territory when you do not very definatively determine what conditions fall under mental illness or not , are you going to include say arachanphobia, PSTD , ect. You have to be very careful anytime the govt steps in and dictates certain things ..very careful

There seem to be more and more cases of special operations soldiers committing suicide. There are more and more reports of war crimes that are leaking out and reports of soldiers who killed themselves over incidents they could no longer live with.I have nothing but utmost respect and admiration for what the spec ops community is all about and stands for , but you have to ask over the years has the spec op soldier been turned from brave defender of freedom , into now more and more just death squads ? If this is so don't blame the soldiers blame the one's who make the decisions , no matter how high up you have to go.For me I do not believe the fine special operations soldiers were ever meant for this , at least I hope not.
