Been a Dodger fan since birth in 1981. Waiting a long time for a WS Championship.
Anyone wanna discuss the growing legend that is Clayton Kershaw?
1 week, 2 days ago on Clayton Kershaw’s MVP Tiebreaker
Anyone wanna talk about possible trade destinations for Matt Kemp or Yasiel Puig?
Anyone here in DoDi wanna talk new Dodgers Front Office?
Just read this article....Good read @DBrim
In my biased opinion, you could argue that Kershaw's defense behind him wasn't all that great outside of AGon and Uribe...Think about how much betters his numbers would play say if he was playing with a defense like KC
haven't read any comments on this yet
1 week, 6 days ago on Hanley Ramirez Declines Qualifying Offer, Obviously
Could the Mets have gotten Cuddyer as a preemptive move to get Tulo? Essentially making a first round pick as part of their deal
@Dodgers Nerd Probably by throwing in like $20-30 million
2 weeks ago on Of Course The Dodgers Are Trying To Trade An Outfielder
@Mike Petriello I could see Detroit making a big splash with Hanley if VMart leaves
@DodgersFan @Mike Petriello @Dodgers Nerd maybe a better argument is Giants just won the World Series with Juan Perez and Ishikawa as their Left Fielders lol
@the great dick tater @Ker$haw$Dodger$ right but if a team comes to you and gives you players that can produce elsewhere for lower than the current cost, I think that's where the FO would make the changes
@the great dick tater the problem is you're expecting these players to be healthy at the end of the season again next year and for years to come
@SabrDodgers @Ker$haw$Dodger$ @Mike Petriello I just see that this year you won't be able to say "look at how our guy pitched out of the bullpen the last three weeks in the season, he deserves a three year $21 million dollar contract"
@Mike Petriello Do you think this offseason, free agents and their agents will change the way they deal with Dodgers because of the changes in the front office?
@Mike Petriello and panda beanies
@Mike Petriello Panda...just so teams can sell more jerseys
@HunterStricklandsOedipalComplex @Ker$haw$Dodger$ ok so you have two years to platoon or find comparable replacements for Kemp's production and after that you'll have more flexibility in the money you spend elsewhere
@HunterStricklandsOedipalComplex @Ker$haw$Dodger$ True..I just think the production you can get Puig, Pederson and others, you can get over what ever Kemp will do in the future and you will have better production in other areas (bullpen or infield)
@HunterStricklandsOedipalComplex @Ker$haw$Dodger$ I think it's a fair deal...Without Kemp stealing 20 a year, he won't be worth his contract
Kemp for SS Brad Miller and P James Paxton from the Mariners
Ethier for two low A Dominicans who just need to work out and get their nutrition straight who will be Projects for Gabe Kapler
2 weeks ago on 2014 Dodgers In Review: 1B Clint Robinson
@Disgruntled Goat @Ker$haw$Dodger$ business sense no, but if you can provide cheap controlled production at other positions for later years, it might make baseball sense
2 weeks, 4 days ago on Dodgers set to hire Billy Gasparino as scouting director
@Disgruntled Goat @Ker$haw$Dodger$ But at this point why are the Dodgers worried about having team friendly contracts when you can bring in talent for even lower costs
Would a trade for Yasiel Puig really need a massive return for the Dodgers?
My thing is if you still have a rather productive outfield whatever you receive can either help infield, pitching or catching.
@YadierMolinasOedipalComplex I think i read two strikeouts were looking...I think that says something..That he's still trying to figure out his pitch zone but also he's not afraid to take or be patient
1 month ago on Introducing Josh Byrnes, leading candidate to be Dodgers’ GM
@Literally PFP @Ker$haw$Dodger$ only because Dodgers were relevant
@ABSmileBunch and he will form a 30-page report on the talent and limitations of Yasiel Puig
Whatever happens, all I know is that at 32 these are some of the best years i've had as a Dodger fan.... team is spending money on players, getting the best people to run the team, making the fan experience at the game better than it was...
I don't want it to end :)
@Dustin Nosler Do you think a better development system would have produced better results from recent drafts?
With all this talk about Friedman the last week, I'm thinking about how much this was the plan from the very beginning in 2012 when Kasten and Co bought the team.... I really think this was the plan all along, but there was an urgency to win at all costs to get fans back in the stands
@YadierMolinasOedipalComplex Maybe that helps
@YadierMolinasOedipalComplex I think I remember Colleti saying something about how the Kasten allows people to take more risks than they would before
@YadierMolinasOedipalComplex @Lobo it could also be the case that the Dodgers development system is not as good as others in getting drafted players to perform to expectations
@YadierMolinasOedipalComplex @Lobo if you look at those teams that made those choices of good players in other years, you may see the same results...
@Diane Nguyen 9ers fan truth is Dodgers are drafting guys with pretty good ceilings (Seager, Pederson, Anderson, Holmes).who are highly thought of..whether they are being developed or allowed to play is another story
@Diane Nguyen 9ers fan I'm sure Baez, Garcia, Frias, etc could be worth something if they were allowed to pitch
@Aaron Harang's Soul Patch @Ker$haw$Dodger$ damn didn't know he's been there that long...but you're right though, seems like everything they do is more right than wrong
@Aaron Harang's Soul Patch @Ker$haw$Dodger$ so was Walt Jocketty whom I think was running things at the time,
@Diane Nguyen 9ers fan I actually disagree with the drafting part
It's crazy how one Draft year can really change the future of a team
Cardinals' 2009 draft class included S Miller, J Kelly, M Carpenter, M Adams, T Rosenthal
@foldamort personally I like the MLB model of no salary cap...let teams decide how and in what they want to spend their money on
@JackedNate @Ker$haw$Dodger$ they give a fuck, I'm 99% right about this
@CloudyWithaChanceofMeatblahs @Ker$haw$Dodger$ as long as they're with the program
I wonder how Gonzalez, Kemp, Ethier, Crawford, Hanley*, League, Wilson, Haren, will feel when they meet Friedman...after reading this:
'it's really important to do as much as you can to put yourself in position to pay for what a player will do, not necessarily what they have done."
@JackedNate @Ker$haw$Dodger$ @mostly exciting potato because facts are a thing here on DodgersDigest comment section
@mostly exciting potato @Ker$haw$Dodger$ I feel like i'm 99% probably right
The more I read about Friedman he seems like a guy that wants everyone to be a team player from the front office to the team itself... and if you're not on the same page, he'll pretty much convince you Intellectually and Logically to get with the program
So are we still in agreement with Drank that Dodger fans don't know anything and Logan White is worthless?
1 month, 1 week ago on Dodgers introduce Andrew Friedman, questions about GM spot remain
I cherish Logan white and I am a dodger fan
1 month, 1 week ago on Ned Colletti was a lame duck GM & Andrew Friedman now moves the Dodgers forward
That's pretty dumb it takes years to contribute...kemp was like 8 years before he actually contributed
