@gravey94 @KevinTheNYRBlog Right, the first tweet was about regular season and yes, unfortunately, this amended tweet is about the playoffs.  I'm still excited about the resiliency of this team who managed to come back from a 4-1 defecit at the Bell Centre even though they did eventually lose.  Here's hoping that both Henrik and the team can bounce back from a terrible loss the other night and close this out in front of the fans at the Garden.

I was actually up in Montreal for a birthday weekend AND at the game when Gomez scored.  We went up again the following year and the border patrol always likes to ask when the last time you were in Canada.  I was thinking that I would reply with, "The last time Scott Gomez scored a goal", but I thought better of it...

Maybe if he was wearing the John Tortorella issued gloves with the steel plate on the front, he wouldn't have broken his hand?

Can we just switch the current Rangers for the Wolfpack?  Seemed to work out just fine for the Penguins last night.

I think the play that bothered me the most was when I think Gelinas got hit in the head with the dump in attempt which ended up springing one of the Rangers (I think it was Hagelin) on a breakaway but the play was immediately whistled down.  The reason that play bothered me so much is because last February I was at the game in Montreal (3-0 L) aka the house of horrors where Dan Girardi blocked a PK Subban slap shot with his foot during a PP with practically no time left on the clock.  I sat there and watched Gerardi basically pleading with the ref to blow the whistle which was ignored and the Canadiens continued their now 5 on 2 power play until the game ended.

I'm sure that puck the ear hurt, but I'm also pretty sure the Rangers had possession just like the Canadiens did in Montreal...

I love Talbot and I'm not taking anything away from his ability, but can't they just string up a shooter tutor instead?  After a few more passes I can picture Talbot just laying across the front of the net with his pads stacked and an arm in the air.  It's so not fair!

That video makes me uncomfortable and I wasn't even standing there with a microphone! Gotta love when Torts talks to the media.

I understand that concussions are tricky and each player is affected differently, but that really didn't seem like a season-ender to me.  Again, I wasn't the guy that got hit nor am I the one feeling the after effects, but did anyone else see the Kronwall hit where the guy basically used his hip to drive his head into the dasher?  The hit was so hard it took Kronwall's helmet off.  He was back on the ice in 2 days practicing with the team.

If Nash couldn't put a suit on and wave the crowd from the bench for 10 minutes you have to assume he's in real bad shape.  I feel like he's going to be out for the season.

@FREE MASHINTER How come you're not asking why Pyatt is still on the roster after that terrible turnover in the D zone which resulted in a goal?  You're usually all over that.

I'm a goalie who still plays the game.  The NHL doesn't allow thigh guards on your pads, which makes sense are far as the pad rules go because it really does close off the 5 hole.  That being said, you mean to tell me you're cheating because you don't want to take a clapper from Chara off the top of your knee?  I just don't understand.  I've been hit there playing beer league hockey.  If I took an NHL shot off the knee I probably wouldn't get up.

@shoot_the_goalie @KevinDeLury @cb1 I feel like it's the same thing as going back with an ex that you had a terrible break up with.  It maybe OK in the beginning, but we've seen this movie before and we know how it ends.  I can only hope that with AV in the drivers seat it'll be different.

@KevinDeLury I play a couple times a week and recently brought my truck in for service.  The service guy recommended getting my AC freshened as well to get rid of that musty smell. Actually, there's nothing wrong with my AC, it was just the lingering smell of hockey equipment...

@KevinDeLury Yeah, it's probably terrible.  He should put that Crosby jersey on the floor and put his dirty equipment on top of that.  Keep the floor from smelling.

I like that even though you're in the NHL you still take your equipment and spread it out on the floor to dry out.  Good to see I'm doing things correctly.

In your opening paragraph, I didn't see Stu Bickel's name in that list.  Is there a possibility he some how manages to stay on the roster?  Or was it Torts the only one that didn't really like his play?

It's funny that Holtby said this because during the game yesterday, Eddie Olczyk made a comment about Holtby, saying he was fighting the puck on saves in the beginning of the game.  I thought he couldn't be more wrong, because as I saw it, he was barely doing anything, as stated in his comments.

@RangerGuy99  @KevinDeLury I never understood the constant line shuffling.  I'm sure Torts sees things and wants to move stuff around, but how can you build chemistry that way?  You have a line in practice and then 4 minutes into the game you have 2 different line mates.  I'm all for mixing things up when you need to but the whole game, every game seems like too much to me.

Correct me if I'm wrong, but didn't the Rangers have "ice girls" at some point until one of them was sexually harassed and now they're gone?  We're talking like way back in 2003.
