How about the possibility of the cap being raised to $60-63.5M?!? Obviously I think we need to keep Homer, regardless of his age there is still no one in the league that does it better than him. Yet having a larger cap could help add another forward if they choose to go in that direction.

The only creditbility that @hockeybreak has with me is that he is being followed
on Twitter by the likes of Darren Pang, etc. People who are immersed in the NHL.
He is somewhat reliable at best. But, it doesnt seem like
Homer's style though to leave the Wings stranded with his cap hit. Here's to hoping its nothing but false info. Good to post it though, it really does stimulate some good conversations!

What's worse is even if Homer does retire he signed his contract after her was 35, so his salary would still count against the cap ($1.875M)!
