Terrell Pryor has been in the league 3 years and had a start and other games under his belt before this game. He was not "essentially a rookie QB in his first start." Really bummed we didn't get a look at the first interception in this post.

@monkeybiz Kalil reminds me of the Browns Thomas, he could possibly make the probowl right away. Having a line with Kalil at LT, Castonzo at RT, and Ijalana playing guard instantly make this team a force to be reconed with in the air and the ground. Kalil would fill the void that was left when Tarik Glenn left.

@Shake1n1bake I agree that Blackmon is probably faster, but Jeffery has the Anquan Boldin type size that can make up for speed issues. While there are plenty of WR who have performed well in college, that doesn't mean there is a Calvin Johnson, AJ Greene, or Dez Bryant out there.
Many scouts are being hard on Blackmon because he doesn't have NFL speed. He's been left out of some scouts top 5 WR. I'd much rather have Ashlon Jeffrey, but this WR class seems to be weak. If Indy gets #1 I would rather they trade down to #2, pick up Kalil, and hopefully pick up an extra 1st or 2nd rounder. This may be one of those years where a team can trade the first overall for 2 first rounders. Build a championship team for Peyton. I don't think the next 3-4 years should be rebuilding...
@jrmzt weren't the Colts like 3rd in short yardage downs last year? I'm pretty sure 1st and 2nd long yardage downs were the issue. They did a great job stuffing 3rd and 1 & goal line downs.

Bring back Marlin Jackson now that the Eagles have too many CBs?@Nate Dunlevy

Understood. It would be nice to have two Melvin Bullitt's for depth, but I guess you'd have a big contract with Whitner. Hard to argue with Whitner's 140 tackles. What corners do you think translate to SS? @Nate Dunlevy
Here's what I think happened: The Colts front office was negotiating with free agents saying, "Peyton could cost in upwards of $25M against the cap so we don't have a lot of money to give you. Shop yourself around and we'll try to match other offers."This got back to Peyton and he wanted to make it clear it wasn't him and that these FAs should be paid their true value and not just a little more than another team would pay them. Not sure if him coming out and telling the world he's taking less is good news or bad news in this case, especially if he was going to end up taking less anyways.

I'm in Viking territory. The word around here is Pat would only come back to play for a Super Bowl contender. Could be another booger type signing? @Nate Dunlevy @Music Man
What about Whitner? By the way you're my hero. I've been reading another blog site and it's constant irrational negativity. I've been defending myself on all of these points for the last few days and am relieved to see reason in Colts Blogging!
The ones that don't know, don't care. Besides, the other fans I have talked to out here in SoDak when I run in to them, know the secret workout debate already. You'd be surprised.
