@Txazz @ACB aka ACS Yeah, I read that article when it came out. This is the one that sent up red flags for me a few months ago. http://insidemovies.ew.com/2013/02/08/bradley-cooper-american-sniper-chris-kyle-biopic/
I thought it was pretty egotistical of Cooper to want to play the part of Kyle, but who knows though, maybe he'll play Kyle great, and maybe he really won't pull any political BS in the movie. Here's to hoping.
@linwood @ACB aka ACS LOL you're crackin' me up!
@Txazz I read this a few days ago. Not sure how I feel about this yet. As long as they don't try to fulfill some political agenda through this film, I think the movie will be pretty good. Since Bradley Cooper is playing Kyle in the movie, he really has some big shoes to fill.
Great article Laura!
Your article motivated me to dig up a documentary about Beslan to watch tonight. I knew some of the focal points of the Beslan school hostage crisis, but I guess I didn't know enough.
is anyone else noticing that the news is reporting 5 people in custody?
Nicholas, I had to tell ya....your articles are pretty interesting! :)
@ArcticWarrior @ACB aka ACS I agree, but I highly doubt North Korea is going to do anything at all. They've been doing this for over 50 years. Part of the reason why the average South Korean citizen is not worried about any of this,
@ArcticWarrior AW, you're talking worst case scenario.
@Minou_Demimonde @ArcticWarrior LMAO There are villages near the DMZ, but not enough to make things bad, I'll let my family in Seoul know that they should be worried, even though they're really not.
@ArcticWarrior @ACB aka ACS I see, well I kinda learned something new. 35 miles is still a ways away from Seoul though, it would reach the tail end. Would it not?
@majrod @ArcticWarrior ^^^That's true.
@ArcticWarrior @ACB aka ACS wait a second, you're telling me, that the ROKs would not be able to see the norks, moving in artillery, and set it up before the ROKS could fire first at the DMZ line?
@ArcticWarrior @ACB aka ACS Not bogus intelligence. The Koksan is North Korean designed, so there's not much known on it, and their gun is estimated to shoot 40 mi.
@ArcticWarrior @ACB aka ACS I disagree, Seoul is out of their artillery range, they would have to send a scud, or another short to medium range type missile at Seoul to take them out. That's why the PAC-3 was sent there.
@majrod @ArcticWarrior I disagree, I see more advantages of liberating North Korea. Besides which, asians are pretty smart, and hardworking. ;) I'm sure they'd get on their feet pretty quickly.
I'm going to agree with Nicholas, and call bluff on the N.Korea nuking anywhere, but wouldn't be surprised if they did (although, I don't think some of us Californians would complain too much if they hit LA, there's a few places there we would like to see annihilated). At first I was surprised to see them send PAC-3 to South Korea (which is designed to take out short range missiles). The GMD missile would have been a better option to use against the type of attack that N.Korea is talking about, but our administration has not turned the assembly line back on for that.
This is terrible news. Prayers are with his family during this time.
