The problem is at our core sports fan are emotional. We love our teams, players, and cities. With that aside, let's be logical. 5.5 for a guy that doesn't score that much is not acceptable. I know we throw the term "intangibles" around, but guess what, money is tangible and you have to earn it. Just look at our prospects and contracts that are expiring. Would any of you really jeopardize our future for Zucc. Let's think with our heads for a minute and not with our hearts. I know he's been more than considerate when taking his past 2 contracts but in the end you have to earn your keep and 5.5 million a year for zucc is not acceptable.

Trust in the system and trust in the players. I have faith that even if he left all that does is gives another opportunity to someone to step up and get the job done.

And as far is intangibles -- we have McD, MSL, Lundqvist, Girardi, Stall, and others in this locker room. They have leadership in quantity and a bond that cannot be broken with his departure.

@Say my Name @IcyCup If you really want to insult someone or poke fun I think forehead is much more worse of a word. I mean, think about it. Its the one place we kiss women after they suck our penis. So in all reality, a forehead is the afterthought of of the human body that gets dismissed because it serves the purpose of male pleasure.

I watched about half of the Kings games this year and with that being said I think the Rangers are considerably better then the kings. I would love to see them prove that right now and go in there and get a W tonight. Of course, however, the Rangers have to play their foes on a back to back on the west coast. Very fitting of the NHL to do that of course.

@scrangersfan is part of this soliloquy supposed to be funny? St.Louis is far from getting old. watch the game again from last night; i thought he did what he was supposed to do. The top 6 was a wash last night and the bottom six were considerably better then theirs. With that being said, I think that's what wins these types of games.

Was anyone at the game last night? I got to go on the ice after the first period and shoot some pucks to win a Dan Girardi stick. I didn't win but man, oh man, was it great being on the garden ice.

I think this is one of the best offensive lineups you can put on the ice. Hopefully they mesh well and we can see great things begin to happen.

@EHBIGAPPLE Could it simply be that last year he was coming off a concussion that he never recovered from. With that said, he's healed up, 15lbs lighter, and ready to roll!

The NYR say that Rick Nash's success stems solely from his pre-game ritual of keeping the soccer ball up. They stole a picture of him in action.  A publicist explained he can now keep it up for 2 to 3 kicks with no problem.

@Bueller @Say my Name Hey man, if you skate with your head down that's your fault, just ask Lindros.  And that just a general statement which has nothing to do with last night. The hit Moore put on him was a bit high and I honestly think it was intentional. Whatever side you lean on you would have to admit he didn't have to lay a hit on him like that to get a message across.

@NickScragg @BleedingBlue Wow, from Ice Cube to Meatloaf; the lineup of music in this post is solid. We should get some sort of mashup between these two, I think it would be a godsend.

J. Moore has to be careful. I know we aren't deep in terms of D men, but if you give a hungry guy 5 or 6 games cause you get suspended, you may just lose your job. Moore has to start using his noodle. Between his mental lapses and stupid shit like this there will be guys on his heels foaming at the mouth to get a shot to play on this squad. And we all know from previous years, if you give the right guy a chance and he takes off, say goodbye to your starting spot.

@DP_Snotty @BleedingBlue I just see so many holes in his game. My personal opinion, which doesn't mean much because i'm not a professional, is that the coaching staff wants him to do well because his raw talent is tremendous. However, I think there are hole in his game that can only get fixed in the minors/juniors.

I like Duclair but I think it's time to hang it up. He needs work and I would rather see other people in the lineup.

@wherewasi The Devils are losing their panache at a rapid rate. Although the games between the Rangers and Devils should pack out the house I don't think it has the same feeling as years past. Also, it just sucks going to a game in Newark. I went last year and it was horrid.

Thing are beginning to come together. I still think the lines need to be played with a little. I really like the Nash, Kreider, and Hayes line. I think this Hayes kid could be a stud in the future. It was refreshing to see a defensemen score the  GW goal and get in on the action. Nevertheless, it was great to get a W by beating the devils. LGR!
