Yikes @sunnyhunt! Sorry I didn't see this comment till just now! To answer your question, it was always "brewing" in me, but didn't really hit me until I quit my job and did some ... thinking. I mean, I DID launch my blog - Social Butterfly Guy - with the tagline "It's all about people" in 2009!!!

My #1 "trick" @jeajen ? Just be yourself ... the rest will work itself out. Oh, and step out of your comfort zone a bit. I realize that last statement conflicts a bit with the first. That's intentional. Ha!

I have been staying away from Ello for one reason and one reason alone. I do not need another social network ... not right now. Will it be "better" than FB? Maybe. Will everyone leave FB and go to Ello? Maybe. But for now, I'm really seeing a ton of value - both personal and professional with FB.

I'm staying there - for now.

@SteveWoodruff Spot on, Steve. And this --> "I wonder if some of our experience of IS comes down to working in a mis-matched role. In other words, we really are outside the primary zone of our competencies, and we can’t measure up to what we know we should because – well, we can’t." EXACTLY. EXACTLY. EXACTLY.
