As much as I didn't like the Houston game plan this is great news.
Great stuff Amy. I have a business and personal page and posted something on my personal page that wasn't too controversial, but 10 minutes later a gun rights argument erupted on my post from people who are not even my friends. Lesson learned indeed.
Latos has a career awful April. The good news is that April is now over. You can see that his stuff is better than he has used it and hopefully he will click with a catcher and will be the 1A starter I was hoping for.
Now if Reds fans can stop being jackwagons to his wife on twitter all will be well.
davebiddle - I think you see Francisco on the team due to the options that he has remaining, which I think is zero. Other than that well done. I really hope they let Chapman get mentally ready to be a starter and let him go through
Have the conditions of the 2013 pick been announced? I haven't seen them anywhere. Anyway you look at it this is best case for the Bengals.
With Cueto and Bailey looking better again I am feeling better. I really thought that Wood might be the ace of this staff, but that hasn't come to be. Leake was my steady future 2 or 3 of this staff, but he hasn't been great and might get to know what pitching in the minors is like. Masset started slow AGAIN, but is lights out once he gets started. Love having LeCure as a long guy in the bullpen. I didn't think he had an out pitch last year, but if his stuff is the same as it was Friday than I am mistaken. I knew Rolen would break down and I am not sold on Francisco anyway.
So what do the Bengals do? With the lockout it is going to be very hard to win with a new OC and a new QB. Sign a veteran QB that may be able to teach for a year? Get Carson to play another year with the understanding that they will let him leave after the year somehow? Know that this year is going to be a mess anyway and just throw the rookie in?
