Simple and clean.
Just went online and gone before I could hit refresh...smh. Honestly, this shit is getting really old. I'm gonna start making my own damn shoes! :)
@caseyflinders I don't think this one is going to fly under the radar. And the hype is already there...unfortunately. :(
But, let's not forget the "no pairs allocated for US retailers" portion. That sounds like that limited hype crap to me.
Looks like another impossible collab to get. Honestly, I'm sick and tired of these collaborations. Yes, they look good. But, what the f@ck is the point when they only make very few pairs? You WON'T get them on release date unless you're running your own ISP with tons of bandwidth. Perhaps, I'm just getting too old for this shit! :)
BTW, imagine if New Balance would expand their custom models to include 998s, 996s, and 1300s.
Yes sir!
So fresh. I hope I can get these this time. I missed out on the Euro release. Concepts is already sold out.
@KnicksTape My browser was doing the countdown for about 10 minutes. I had forgot about it and it let me in.
If anyone is trying to cop, Finishline still has them in stock.
Just got the tweet from Nikestore...gone!
I'm thinking Vietnam. I ordered some 1500 elites and they were made there. I could be wrong though.
Simple, yet clean.
@BadPopcodotuk Quoted from Stone Island's Facebook page:
"NEW BALANCE and STONE ISLAND PRESENT SI_577Two brands, both research focused and geared to achieve excellence in their field, join to give birth to a limited edition, exclusive for the Italian market, on sale from January."
And...
"SI_577, is on sale, exclusively for Italy, in the STONE ISLAND flagship stores (in Milan, Rome, Florence, Verona and Riccione), and in the best point of sales of STONE ISLAND and NEW BALANCE."
Nice! Too bad they are being sold exclusively to the Italian market.
@gotjordans Didn't mean to get on a soap box about it. :) I been up for two days straight, saw the comments, and just went in.
@StephenDensmore @Born2fly Exactly, which is why I made the fictional reference to a NES re-release. Nostalgia is driving force behind JB prices, not the tech. I love the IIIs, I had a pair as a kid. I'm just one who is not going to go through with it this time. For the price, I would rather get me some NBs. Too all those planning to cop, best of luck and I really hope you get yours. Because that is what the sneaker game is really about. Getting what you want.
@Born2fly Dynamic Flywire, Carbon Fiber heel shanks, Hyperfuse, Engineered Mesh, Nike +. Doesn't that sound like advances in shoe technology? Yet, the retro III STILL cost more.
I'm not one to post either, but here it goes (sounds cliche, I know)!
JB is in the business of making money...POINT! All companies are in the business of making money and making ALOT of it with as little overhead as possible (factories in China, cheap materials)! They have to please the investors...NOT YOU!
For the most part, everyone has a valid point in this argument. EXCEPT the whole "get your money up" crap. Rich people stay rich by saving money! In my opinion, $200 is too much to pay for something that was originally released in 1988! That's like if Nintendo decided to remake the NES console with the Mario and Duckhunt cartridge and charged $406 (1985 equiv to $199). Would you buy it? The concept is the same. I'm sure within a year or two, you'll be blowing out the cartridge or slapping it against your leg!
In the end, it is all about supply and demand. JB and Nike will release the shoe, it will sell out...and quickly might I add! If you want it...buy it, if not....don't. If you REALLY want something from them that will benefit you as well, buy their stock (NKE)! It closed at just over $52 a share. Buy 4 shares and there are your retros. Think about all the retros since 2008 and look at their stock prices!
