I will say this: America is not forever lost or defeated yet! America is still a nation of people who believe in a higher being who watches over us daily. God is always in control and things are not always as bad as we seem to
think. Even though our economy is still in a recession and slowly
gatting worse, we are not in the shape that the rest of the world is.
Our unemployment is still only officially under 8% (but probably closer
to 16%) while the rest of the world is in much higher straights. God
has blessed America with people who were able to help us make a great leap to
become the greatest nation in history. * Consider for instance that
America represents about 5% of the world's population but has created
more wealth than the rest of the world combined. During this time
period we have never suffered a famine, in spite of the fact that even
today famines continue to stalk men the world over. Thoughout the ages
humans have gone hungry and many have starved, in spite of their fertile
land and manpower to work it. The ancient Assyrians, Persians,
Egyptans and Greeks were intelligent people, but in spite of their
intelligence they were never able to get enough to eat. They often
killed their own babies because they couldn't afford to feed them. The
Roman Empire collapsed from famine. * For more than a hundred years America
has been the food basket of the world. Americans have been responsible
for more discoveries and inventions in science and elsewhere than any
nation on earth. Its' men and women have fought in wars throughout the
world in defense of freedom, asking nothing for their efforts and
sacrificing their lives in return. America is always the first nation
to provide relief and aid to other nations that have had natural
calamities, sometimes even to our enemies. We have given more money in
aid and relief than most of the other nations of the world combined. In
spite of this we are the target of the hate and envy of the rest of the
world. * The fruit of freedom and the free market economics allowed
science to thrive in an explosion of inventions and discoveries which,
in 200 years took us from the horse and buggy technology to the gigantic
power resources of harnessed electricity, the internal combustion
engine, jet propulsion, space exploration, and all the wonders of nuclear
energy. Communication went from the telegraph to wall mounted telephone, radio and
TV to cell phones and computers held in your hand. The whole earth was explored from pole to pole, from the depths of
the sea to the farthest reaches of the skies. * Advances in medicine has changed man's lifespan from thirty years prior to the 1600s, to the present average of 72 years.Only
in the most backward areas of the world do we have Polio, Plague,
Typhoid Fevers, Malaria, Tetanus, and even cancer, the scourge for the
longest time, has seen cures and advances that were previously
unbelievable. God has truly blessed America with wise talented men and
that has revolutionized the world.
Liberalism and political correctness has turned man against his friend and exported much of our manufacturing base to cheaper places to do business, although some of that has returned to our shores. All is not lost yet, and God is in control. Be of good cheer and truly believe!

@2WarAbnVet As one who served in Vietnam more than seven years until the evacuation in '75, I salute you and your service to America. May God bless you and yours.
@captmike49 @OdellHarwell @MontanaMEL Capt. I concede your statement as long as it is qualified by by the description of "..inside the beltway!" And I can agree with you on that!
@Jupiter8 Actually, prayer is the first action to take! After prayer, take any actions that legally come to mind.
@captmike49@MontanaMEL "It all sounds good on paper but the sad truth is that there isn't a
dime's worth of difference between the two political parties." Sorry Capt. but I vehemently disagree with you here! I am a Republican activist and have been for more than 50 years, more or less! I have worked on the local grassroots leveland am as conservative anyone can imagine. I resent you stating that I am no different than Barney Frank, Nancy Pelosi, or Harry Reid! I am absolutely much more of a patriotic conservative than ALL of those liberals in Washington, and I know that some of the people there are also patriotic conservatives, as you mentioned, Ted Cruz. I include Rand Paul, John Cornyn, and a few others too that I can't think of at the moment. Especially here on the local level, there are MANY outstanding conservative Republicans who support our moral values that have stood the test of time year after year. If you mean your statement to apply only to those politicians in Washington, then state that in your quote of FDR. FDR was a Democrat and was trying to pull the Washington Republicans down to the level of his Washington Democrats, and many unknowledgable peons actually believed his statement that there was no difference.
@PaulYannucci I want to think that it won't happen here ever again, but the recent passage of the NDAA legislation and the cancelling of Habius corpus is very disturbing for our future. Especially if you speak out on internet forums or other public media.

@Robert kepka @FredMarsico Google "The Battle of Athens, Tennesee." See how other Americans battled the corrupt establishment.

The UN doesn't have a standing army. The UN can only send troops who are voluntarily assigned to the UN by the member nations. Member nations who are Muslim, or other America-hating third world countries will agree to send their troops under the UN flag. The other sensible nations want nothing to do with armed Americans. That's OK too, we'll fight all they send, and eliminate them.

@BrookeDoris "That said, hopefully the Congress WILL act, do its job and enact reasonable regulations concerning the sale/type/ and ammo of guns and who may purchase them and how."
Brooke, the congress HAS been doing its' job. It has been trying to pass legislation on all matters that come before it. The problem is that not everyone agrees on how the laws are to be written or what laws are needed. The problem is that when one group (liberals or conservatives) gain control of both houses of congress, then they can write any kind of laws any way they want to, despite the protests of everyone else. In this case, if the president and the ruling legislators in both houses are of the same party, then they will have almost ironclad rule and pass what they want. If the president is from the opposing party, then he can veto laws that he disagrees with and it is up to the two branches of congress to over-ride the president. The president has no power to legislate or make laws. He can only sign laws, presented to him by the congress, or veto them.
The current controversy about gun control is the best example right now. The president and his liberals in the Democrat and Republican parties want to ban guns. More conservative Democrats and Republicans think that it is illegal for them to do that, and are fighting to preserve what the constitution rules. The liberals do not like the constitution because it restricts them from becoming overbearing dictators.
@MichaelBroadway @Equality 7_2521 @InalienableWrights Fully automatic weapons and grenade launchers are illegal and have been for over seventy years! Why do we need to pass new laws again? We don't! What the libs are doing is calling semi-automatic weapons as "assault weapons" and then trying to ban them! Assault weapons are fully automatic weapons that are used in war by armies! Bazookas from WW II and grenade launchers from the Vietnam war era have always been illegal to own.
@BrookeDoris Wrong! Executive orders are used by the president to inform his cabinet and agency heads how he wants them to operate in the way he wants them to. These executive orders cannot be used to circumvent the legsilature. These orders cannot make new laws.
@coastx What does SYG mean?
@Equality 7_2521 I think the key here is the words "Owned or manufactured......in Wyoming and remains in Wyoming," So, whether it is a gun or ammo, or accessory, and is owned in Wyoming and remains exclusively in Wyoming, then the state is saying that the feds should butt out!
@RedTulie I know!!!! I'm so frustrated that this has been going on since the liberals began this attack at the beginning of the Clinton term. The supreme court hasn't been much help because we have liberals controlling half of the court. Thankfully we have conservatives protecting the other half. We need to make sure Obama doesn't get to replace a conservative or the lone moderate with another liberal.
@RedTulie Red, let's take it one thing at a time! We need to make sure we concentrate our resources on getting a solid unreversable win before trying to slaughter the whole cow.
