@JeremyBrewer  "how was three high usage all-stars supposed to work? Any history of this before?" Well...there's this team in Miami.

@Royce Young @CG24 Absolutely not, there's no such thing as a guarantee in sports. But keeping together a core of KD, Russ, Harden, Ibaka all younger than 25 is as close as it gets.

Honestly, all this speculation would probably be a moot point if the Harden trade worked out like Presti thought it would. Who ever expects a Toronto pick to fall outside the Top 5? And even if the protection safeguarded the pick in 2013 then a Top 5-8 pick in next year's draft would've made the haul more valuable than one year of Martin, Lamb, and Adams.

Look, from an unbiased, neutral view we've taken some lumps the past few offseasons. That's undeniable. If they have a plan, fine. I'm waiting for the home run (realistically probalby a bases loaded double) payoff though.

@Royce Young @CG24 I get it. I get the burden of the luxury and, especially, the repeater tax. Obviously I'm not in a front office position so my background as an athlete and the coinciding desire to win outweighs the level-headed approach that management is taking.

Would you rather win 1-2 NBA Championships in an 8 year window or remain relatively competitive for 15 years? Nothing is guaranteed but I'll take the rings.

Not yet in their championship window - stupidest thing I've ever heard.

If you're in contention for a championship you go for it. You never know when an injury will derail you (Westbrook) or being too conservative will backfire (Washington Nationals holding Strasberg out of the playoffs...now they're struggling to even be in playoff contention).

Sports, at its core, is about winning. If you have the opportunity then you do it. It's not even a question.

Schroeder and Adetokunbo have promises from teams that would take them off the board before our pick at 29. We can take those players off our radar unless we trade down from 12 into the middle of the 1st.

Same goes for Steve Kerr (short on FG and FT attempts in 95-96).

Calderon didn't qualify because he didn't have enough free throw attempts.
