I have been Italian for nearly 62 years and the mis-spelling was quite intentional.  I sincerely apologize for any offense as none was meant to anyone except coach Tortorella.  A "cafone", by the way, is ANY low-class person and NOT specific to Italians... or at least that's how my Sicilian and Neopolitan family members used it for generations.

Don't blame Gabby... He is in a slump and it's becoming a self-fufilling prophecy.  The Rangers are playing without heart, without guts and without toughness but don't blame Torts for that... The Ranger woes must rest solely on the shoulders of Ryan Callahan who is a good, tough, clutch player but possibly the WORST team captain in Hockey history.  Don't give me this "quiet, leads by example" crap... Great team captains, like Munson, Messier, Gainey and others,GET IN YOUR FACE and DEMAND ACCOUNTABILITY OR ELSE... Messier got Petr Nedved booted off the Rangers for lacksidasial play... He made Doug Weight and Tony Amonte's lives a living hell for playing soft and selfish games... I don't know who this Ranger team would respect but it CLEARLY is not the leadership of Ryan Callahan....

No... Tortorella has just shown to the world what a classless gavone he is.  If he (and his "quiet captain Callahan") had any guts at all they would be apolgizing to the media and the fans for their inability to manage a bowl movement and be inside the locker room giving that rash of disrespect to a bunch of lazy un-motivated thieves who are (for the most part) STEALING their NHL Salaries...  Sam Rosen has been a standup guy for a lot of years who has maintained grace and professionalism under extremely difficult circumstances...  Tortorella is not fit to carry his microphone case.

I think the kid's "struggles" are because (if I get Tort's and NYR strategy correctly) the Whale has him focusing on things that they saw as holes in his game.. they didn't send him to Hartford to work on things he was already "good" at, right...?  Krieder spent nearly zero time on the buy-in to the Tortorella system so I would suspect (not having any complete Whale games) that he is focused on a new vision of the game... one that would set expectations for his performance on Broadway.  Lot's of free-flying offensive players have had to make adjustments to the way Tort's sees the game played and I suspect that the kid is just going through those same adjustment blues...
