Im kinda disappointed about this. This was a very slept on release in '09 I copped from Footaction for $65. The leather on these were in heavy comparison to the coveted "Banned" 1s that Ive yet to put my foot in, but owning the 2prs showed what happens when you put a theme & story behind a particular shoe. Both of these releases were OG colorways materials were pretty much the same. The main difference was the "Shadows" were not worn on court by MJ sold thru JB urban accounts with all the OG tags etc minus OG box. Now the "Banneds" were worn on court by MJ, which caused him to get fined for that particualar color-blocking, but the materials were the same. The "Banneds" did come in a "X" themed box & had the banned theme also put on the sneaker & sold at Nike outlets only... So with the fact you could only get the shoe through Nike outlets played a large role in the success of the "Banneds", now looks like JB is out to do it again most likely if this sneaker will carry the Nike logo on the tongue it will carry the OG box etc and open the door for hype.
