And I hope posting pictures isn't against any SH rules, I'm just giving an example! :)

@izzylaguira Hey Izzy, I shoot with a T3i and the 50mm 1.8, it's a HUGE step up from the kit lens.
These photos, especially those of the teams working, depict so much emotion. Hopefully one day I can do the same through my lens. Great Job!

@JamieHowden That shot is probably one of my favorites I've seen on this site, nicely done!

@Mike Garrett Sounds good! I'm excited to attend some grass roots events. Thanks Mike!

Mike, whats the atmosphere like at these Just Drift events for the media? I live a little south of Willow Springs out in Orange County, and I wanted to check out the ASB after attending both FD Long Beach and IRW, but since I'm relatively new to photography and writing I can't really apply for media passes.
These events just seem like so much fun to attend! (And one day take part in, I'm buying myself an S-Chassis as a graduation present when I finish college in May)

Great write up Paddy. I know what you mean with the Graphic Design background, as I was always that graphic designer with limited options. It's actually that because of that reason (and my love for automotive culture) I started taking photos myself. But I think not having a photography background helps with being creative, and straying away from those dry rules. It also helps that I read SpeedHunters daily. So thanks!

These little tips are great for us amateur automotive photographers! I look forward to these posts more and more, thanks Larry!

I just jumped back into one of the Initial D arcade games yesterday, it was like reliving my childhood! Great write up.

The content you guys provide just gets better and better!
Larry and Mike, hopefully I can catch you guys at FD Irwindale to get my Speedhunters Vol.1 book signed. :)

@Rob Bullough @AstlePastel I always wondered that, because when we send in our photos they are limited to 1000px wide on the longest side, probably due to load times and server size. Because I would love a Hi-Res shot of that mustang!

YESSS!!! Thanks for featuring my shot! And thanks to Larry for the inspiration, he still needs to sign my Speedhunters Vol. 1 book as well! That CRX picture is just epic though, nicely done everyone!

More of the Red MkIII!!! I own one and I get really inspired to see people get down with that model rather than just a MkII or MkI

@Mike Garrett Of course! I've been reading Speedhunters for a long time, hopefully I'll run into you one of these days, it'd be a great experience!

It's posts and comments like these, that really make me realize just how lucky I am to live 15min down the road from Cars&Coffee, and in Southern California in general. Great Write up! It's great to see how other (wayyyyy more seasoned) photographers tackle Cars&Coffee.
For sure the original Gone in 60 Seconds, with Eleanor..but has anyone mentioned Days of Thunder? You all know you like seeing Tom Cruise in his prime in a stock car! (seriously though that movie is great)

In my opinion, #iamthespeedhunter is such a huge reason as to why you guys are so successful. We get to see the world through other people's viewfinders, and broaden our own horizons without even having to leave our homes (though I'm sure most of us would like to go where you guys do!). So basically, thanks for having #iamthespeedhunter, and thanks for posting one of my photos previously :)

Great Great Great post! You really captured the feeling and essence of (what I would believe to be) living the automotive-photojournalism dream life! Especially the parts in Japan!
