Towel had a dream that the Padres lent Matt Kemp back to us for Opening Day and he hit several doubles against them.
Seriously, this was a real dream that Towel had.

I'm confused by this deflated balls controversy. If I were a professional athlete, I'd deflate my balls before any competition. I assumed most men did this.

@DBrim we had game threads during spring training... wow, i forgot about that

@Dustin Nosler Andrew Heaney #5. sigh.
@Dustin Nosler woah.
@BehindOrangeLines @Purple Drank @Turner_for_Treasury kid may have been better off flying into the bushes of the abyss than slamming into the paved road
@Turner_for_Treasury a messy backyard is exactly what I think of when I see the word "abyss"

@Casey the DeliMan yeah... I don't like this. Karros was really mediocre when I was a kid... he only became good after I stopped paying attention to baseball in my teenage years.

@Purple Drank @Casey the DeliMan wtf are you talking about, drank. I was only 26 when Kemp debuted. pretty sure that was like a year or two ago.
@I Am PFP And So Can You @Moderately Excited Towel sounds like a good plan for 2016
@I Am PFP And So Can You @Moderately Excited Towel they'd also have the 2nd best bullpen in baseball
@I Am PFP And So Can You @Moderately Excited Towel yeah its on the strength of pitching, and apparently there is some solid 2B and C out there still.
So according to Fangraphs the remaining free agents, if they formed their own team, would be better than the Phillies and almost as good as the Dbacks
@VietnamPadre VNP... do you get offended when people refer to you as VND? because I know some people are really sensitive to being called the wrong name when they undergo such transformations
@I Am PFP And So Can You ugh, you're the worst commenter ever
I'd like to know how Friedman is planning to overcome the 0.3 wins that the Nationals have over us
@nsxtasy @package206 @OSaltyOne Urias is definitely the most expendable (of the top three). Pederson was the most expendable until Ethier's production turned to shit and Matt Kemp was traded... not anymore.
@efb but they have "unlimited" plans for $30/month, though data is not unlimited, just text/phone
@efb two separate plans on h2o. I average less than $10/month on my phone bill because I'm almost always on WiFi and never really talk on the phone much.
@Purple Drank this way of thinking is exactly why no towels were nominated for academy awards this year
@Casey the DeliMan pirate bay?
@Purple Drank remember when he was in Subway commercials?
@Purple Drank he's successfully generating interest, though. this single comment is the most I've talked about Ryan Howard in years.
@Dustin Nosler @DBrim I thought reading the article was the only way to get down to the comments

@TheConman surprised it isn't higher than the Giants, at least
Pujols and Hamilton aside... CJ Wilson and Jared Weaver are both getting $18m this year
@I Am PFP And So Can You @Moderately Excited Towel @TheConman the way the story was told in Gone Girl was far more compelling in my opinion; it was perfectly constructed. Nightcrawler was exceptionally well-acted but the story just wasn't compelling to me... didn't really care what was going to happen, and wasn't surprised with what did happen.
@I Am PFP And So Can You @TheConman imho Gone Girl was better than Nightcrawler
@Purple Drank hi drank
@Lance Uppercut @I Am PFP And So Can You great in concept, but in execution I was unimpressed.
@I Am PFP And So Can You @TheConman eh. Nightcrawler was well done but its not a movie I will ever think about again after a few months.
@capnsparrow hi capn
@Purple Drank they'll probably trade for Punto next
2 weeks ago on Kenley Jansen, Justin Turner among four to file for arbitration
@Purple Drank @TellMyWifeISaidHello I sat along the RF foul line one game 4 years ago and I sensed from him that he'd demand a trade specifically to New York because he's into the restaurant scene there.
@TellMyWifeISaidHello @Moderately Excited Towel you're right... Puig would probably just go back to Cuba.
@TellMyWifeISaidHello @Moderately Excited Towel neither did Kemp. why do we give a fuck?
why is Ethier even a remote consideration for CF again? If Pederson is awful, why wouldn't Puig continue playing in CF?
@Purple Drank @DodgerDodger You're saying you wouldn't pay Kyle Jensen $15m, drank?
@TellMyWifeISaidHello @Moderately Excited Towel @BlueMarvin (Not Freaking Out) @Hoze Opinion is opinion.
Kemp hasn't played LF enough for defensive metrics to really say much of anything. His arm is infinitely better than Crawford's, and if Kemp is healthy (obviously questionable) their range is probably similar. Crawford has had negative dWAR for 4 consecutive seasons, so he's hardly good on defense.
@Purple Drank yes, because I work Tuesday through Saturday
@BlueMarvin (Not Freaking Out) @Hoze the difference between Crawford and Kemp in LF would probably be negligible.
@isanz33 @TheConman that's a Monday.
Baseball Reference gives some bizarre similar players sometimes. Kershaw's top match? Babe Ruth.
2 weeks ago on What is a Mike Bolsinger?
@Purple Drank @Lobo @Disgruntled Goat you shouldn't read the original post, just go straight to the comments
@- Casey - @TheConman And That's Okay.
@Superba I stopped reading this post when Brim compared Bolsinger to Bumgarner. Assuming the rest of the post just further confirms the comparison. Looking forward to Bolsinger being our 2015 World Series MVP.
