How do you have the theme of DMV and not one artist from the area first off, secondly the execution was horrid, third the five hours is more than enough time to properly do one pair of shoes with or without an airbrush.

Has anyone else noticed that this so called rapper seems like the only reason he made what some say is music was to become one of the biggest hypemonsters? He has more beasting videos than his own music videos. When will the madness stop with posers and wannabe's that do things just to move up in a line-up or a camp-out?

NO! Not original in any way shape or form. This shit has gotten very boring and repetitive. Out of all the colors in the entire world the same ones get used on the same shoes over and over and over and over and over again. Angelous makes over 300 colors by now, take some time to look at them and use them instead of following what has been done since this "thing" started...

@Cop em and Rock em

In the "real" good ol' days of buying sneakers before sneaker head was even a term us OG's didn't have to worry about lines or raffles or none of this bullshit join on today. All we had to do was go to the store and buy what we wanted on delivery day, and once the store manager knew who you were they would let you know what was dropping and when it was coming in and all you had to do was show up. Now fast forward to today and you have to go to a giant babysitting convention to buy shoes is a no go plus the fact that the majority of the kicks are new retros with 3-6 times the retail price that some brat stood in line for a week to buy with their mother's credit card who will certainly have no intentions of paying her back after making 3-6 times what they paid. Don't forget young man this didn't just start yesterday. And for you to call yourself Cop em Rock em, you want to change that to Cop em and Resell em...

@kshaun12 @Founding Father  Gotta disagree with you on that. I'm pretty sure a very large majority of the shoes there may look like some OG's but they are nothing but retro's.

Wouldn't be caught in a casket at this shit. Prices are still ebay high and if you do have a trade worth trading no seller wants to take on more stock that thye have to pack back and take back to store in the 6x6 bedroom. From the looks most of the shoes in the pics are some rather current releases.

Nike is just waiting for the right amount of demand for something like this. The internets are not buzzing enough with a demand for an SB retro onslaught yet. You better believe it is something that Nike is going to do, all the way back to the Thanksgiving Dunks, but then, with the way they do business they will go overboard and make packs that use the OG color-ways and force feed and flood the market like they do with JB, and then the fun is gone. If they keep it simple and bring back what the people really want then the "new" SB Dunks might have a new life breathed into it as well...

No exclusive shoe will come out of JB for Aubrey, even players have to wear normal J's before they get a branded shoe. Just a full blown Jordan ID experience, and judging by Aubrey's sense of style… hold on and get ready for a tacky ride...

Okay… signing with Adidas isn't that bad is it? Mr. West is not an athlete, but you allow him to make you a lot of money and all he gets is the accolades of designing a shoe. At the same time Jordan or many of their contracted athletes never held a pencil, they would just say yes or no to a design idea or give some ideas on how they wanted it to look which still has to be translated through designers. Will Adidas force him to stay within the boundaries of the JS line or will he have free reign to do what he wants, that is what will make this venture a failure or success. Outside of that how many of the consumers will jump ship from Nike to Adidas just to pay for Mr. West's family...

From the pics posted the majority and that is a very large majority of the shoes for sale were the most recent drops. Total spoiled brat hypebeast movement. The pics say it all kids are selling shoes that aren't even their size which makes it a bitch for a person that wanted that shoe in the store to buy because of some 12 year old reseller. I know it's not much that can be done to the current status of sneakers and all of it's down spiraling trends, so for the human beings that actually like to wear their shoes and buy shoes because they like them and not because of hype or resell purposes let's start a new secret society in which things are done without the use of the internet...

I can say this... more than 60-75% of the people there are not from DC. Sneakercon is a beast's traveling circus, whatever they have that can't be dumped on ebay they jump on the Conwagon to keep their beast modes going. Like nwyrkg said competing with a kid that has nothing else to do with their life all day but use mommy and daddy's credit card to buy anything they want, or they have parents that keep them quiet by giving them anything they want, you will never have a chance to just go out and pick up a shoe ever again. Unless you stand in line over night like a nerd, and I'm sure some of us are too grown to do such and have jobs to go to in the morning. It's time to start using brain games, start buying the shoes with no hype, no website mentions, no early release pics, no signatures, no nothing. See what happens then...

The cause of the poorer quality shoes does not rest solely "no pun intended" on Nike or any other large manufacturing company. Many companies had to find ways to make cuts as far as natural materials are concerned, now there are federal and state government rules in place that have banned or outlawed the use of certain materials. You also have the animal rights groups that have gotten their way with the killing of animals for their hides, which is why when an all real leather shoe comes out the numbers are low but the price is a lot higher. Certain glues are no longer used, outdated equipment has been replaced, it's all kinds of criteria that companies have to meet in order to keep product rolling out the door. On another note when Nike does a retro they take the OG shoe out of the vault where it has been sitting for who knows how long and they use the dried up faded colorway to produce the new retro... somethings they can control and they have seem to take a while to learn this, just look at the infrared Air Max 90s it took them until earlier this year to get those to correct specs.

The term "sneakerhead" came just before "hypebeast". When Foot Locker used to get their shipments on WEDNESDAYS nobody called anyone a "sneaker" anything, you just paid for your shoes and left. Even if you did collect shoes their was no term for it because it wasn't looked at as the cool thing to do and, a lot of people that did collect would give shoes away regardless of what they were because you could always get another pair or you were just making room for new ones. I can take it back to 1997 before all this nonsense started. Fall 97' the Source magazine used to be a million pages, Wu Tang was killin it, Def Jam had every artist goin multi platinum, and the Nike Air Max Pillar came out.

They had a full paged ad in the Source and I said I'm gettin them, Wednesday rolls around I head to Foot Locker get my kicks and I'm out with ease no line, no hype, no site with trolls complaining about the shoe, no jacked up price, no reseller tryin to buy every pair, these were a lot simpler times.

There is no need for these sites to try and report on these so called topics because the damage is done. Like Sneakernews for example they put this article up going on about Nike going overboard but, at the same time when the same company drops the same shoe they are talking down about comes out who wants to be first to let the world know the drop dates, and who has them in stock, and now they even put who has them on ebay. Somewhere along the line they will have to choose what side they want to be on... keep helping the hype train or teach people to not be sheep and gain some individuality by posting more than the hyped releases, and don't create hype by posting a general release shoe, just say something like " we saw these and thought you would like them".

Nike does not care about what a few people's gripes are with them as long as there are millions of other buyers waiting on the next shoe to drop Nike will be paid regardless. I don't care how many times they retro anything if you don't want it don't buy the shit. If you are that weak of a person that you can't help but to be sucked into the hype of every drop... then you need to find some help, because Nike is not the one holding a gun to your head making you buy anything. Take some responsibility for yourself and stop blaming a company that has been doing their job for years.

I don't blame Nike one bit for capitalizing on ignorance of today. A few years before the internet was available to the public there were no lines, no raffles, no violence, no hypebeasts trying to resell everything they could get their hands on at stupid prices. Now look at it there is no walking into any sneaker spot and getting that shoe you really want thanks to sites like this and tons like it making it hard for wearers to get the shoe they want versus brats just wanting to buy up sizes they can't even wear just to sell them. Then consumers feel like the boutiques have to praise them because they buy every hyped drop on Saturday... no, that does  not pay the bills, that does not get you box price, or any other special treatment. Buy some regular non-hyped products have some loyalty then you might get the treatment you are looking for.

The prices will not drop, demand will not drop, Nike will more than likely not change anything they are doing to satisfy the complaints of consumers whining about retros, or any other shoe for that matter because there will always be a consumer looking for something you are not.

Quick question...How many of you will be buying the retro LeBrons???????????????????
