@Brother01 huh? My facts are 100% correct: Uber jacked up the price of rides in NYC during a catastrophe. You can call it what you want, but it's price gouging.
If you change the name then it's not price gouging anymore, right?
Excellent, thanks for bringing this to NYC Sarah: looking forward to it.
@joewardpr We don't use the P word around here Joe.
@daveplantz Sorry, but blaming a TV show for somebody's suicide is ridiculous. Also, everyone has different tastes. Why so judgey? I'm sure you like plenty of stuff that others think is vapid nonsense.
@UniqueVisitor How did you see the show already?
@MikeIsaac Most of the writers I know work pantsless. You must hang out with a classier bunch.
@marksashton @SabrinaBruning Yea, engineers back in the day only changed the face of business and communication as we know it, ushered in a new technological era, saved countless lives through bringing computing advances to medicine, created an unbeatable chess computer and put a man on the moon. Ego free zone, I'm sure.
@timrpeterson Which, incidentally, is why I come to their website. I can disagree with or question without resorting to insults. Usually.
@timrpeterson Sarah and Paul? I rather like them both I'm afraid.
@paulcarr @kaimac Of course: Bravo's job is to hype up their new show. They all follow the same format: they sensationalize and manufacture story lines, and this one most likely paint a rather unpleasant, possibly damaging picture of SV. Regardless though, I stand by my point that Sarah writing such an incendiary piece without having seen the show is at best, unfair. It's akin to reviewing a movie based on the trailer.
All fair and reasonable points, but you reviewing the show without having seen anything beyond the trailer seems rather unfair, no?
Interesting angle. Definitely possible.
I was lucky enough to see him play a good deal when I lived in San Diego. I agree with you that he's always come across as a humble, decent guy. I don't think that money would be his driving force. Winning on the other hand, could be more of a factor, so if he does move, it'll be to win rather than for $. imo.
