What if Subaru built a STi wagon? I'm driving that dream.

That LFA. I seriously had to take a moment, I was so excited to keep scrolling down to learn more. I really hope they find a way to keep the V10. That would be absolutely magical to hear in competition.

Wow! Looks like someone went to Pikes Peak and got some ideas. Hopefully it will still leave opportunities to be attacked once it finishes.

Holy cow Mike! I liked that thing when looking through the exterior, but then when you did a shot of the interior dash I fell in love. That single tach and smartphone mount is a stroke of genius!

That merlot colored carbon fiber is an amazing touch. You mention the Zonda F and that red carbon is very similar to some of the styling that Pagani has used on their final edition Zondas. I hope to see more of this style in the future.

Linbergh!!! You'll bring back some great character to Speedhunters, and I hope you continue to take some more rolling shots!

Larry those are some compelling black and white images! I'm not sure if it was the b&w, composition, or angles, but this is the first time I've ever seen photos from Long Beach that actually makes the course look like they're running on city streets. Sure on all pictures before you can see some faint building backdrop and stoplights, but these really make you feel like there are wild beasts running amok in LA.
My first true stint with a camera was with a highschool photography class with my dad's old Ricoh camera shooting in b&w and printing the films in a dark room. It truly is a more rewarding experience when you're forced to make the most out of limited frames.

@Kirk_B The Viper is closer in capability, but those BMW Z4s are crazy quick in the corners. Based on me watching the races it would be anything but a Ferrari since those guys seem to just knock cars off the course (especially when the Z4 was coming back on the last laps at Daytona).

What car do you like going toe to toe with the most on track?
Bryn, I think you've hit it where the important details are how the builder decided what to keep and what to change. What I like most about these kinds of builds is getting a sense of how these cars were dreamed up. There's no picking up everything from an online catalog. You can get a true sense of what they wanted to achieve and how they got there with what was available.

Cool to see some rolling shots of this car; I remember walking down the aisle at Nos2Days and seeing the S2k instruments before I saw the motor. What a clean build; it's too bad cars can't come from the factory like this. Although I guess it just gives us more inspiration to have fun in our garages!

I really liked the RX-3 but that TeaVally Z was absolutely impeccable; my favorite detail was the carbon fiber around the window trim. Dino, it was good meeting you on Saturday.

@linhbergh Great coverage of my home track! One of the best parts about the Rolex 24 is how accessible the entire track is; since Daytona is designed for the much higher capacity 500 so when the guys come to battle it out for 24 hours everything is easy for spectators to get around. I always recommend people to go to that race for their first.

Mike, that meet looks amazing! These pictures are awesome opossum! I've just made a ton of additions to my wallpaper collection.
It's getting me more excited for Nostalgic 2days when I have Feb 22 off in Japan on a work trip!

Keith, if you manage to snag a photoshot of the car make sure to take a picture of the same spot from different angles. I would love to see how the paint color changes on this one based on viewing angles.
I'm really loving the use of copper at SEMA this year!

I really like the use of other metals in some of these builds. The black on copper is phenomenal!

I would pick the entire Bryn/Dino Pagani collection as a whole. I made a whole folder for those images to cycle through as my desktop background. @speedhunters_dino Dino you captured the cars in their environment perfectly and Bryn got all the special details. EPIC

Jun awesome car; it really makes me want to get back into my garage to work on my miata. Keep up the good work over at hotwheels! Not only do you make my desk a lot more fun (I will admit I drive around my Hakosuka every once and a while), but you also make trips to Target/Walmart far more enjoyable when I get a chance for some speedhunting.

This article is absolutely awesome, and the photography is just on point. I am so glad the new format lets me download any image as a desktop wallpaper; this seriously made my day after always looking at my Spark Zonda R model sitting on my desk.
Great work Bryn keep it up!

Great work Larry. You've really put your talent for photography on display here from capturing the emotions of the competitor to the drama of the vehicles at highspeed in all sorts of conditions. It's photos like this that make me keep my Speedhunters in review book on my coffee table at home and my speedhunters lanyard on all day to hold my ID for work.
Can't wait photos your bring next year and you're a great inspiration for me to go to the 24hrs of Daytona and the 12 of Sebring to take my own.
