@TellMyWifeISaidHello @Hoze more realistic than 2-3 top prospects, to perhaps 1-2 now. 1 + 2 low top-10 prospects for LA?

id much prefer Janssen over Ogando, but he really unperformed last year. Perhaps it is something that can be overlooked due to being as a cause of his back injury.

Something like..

Jansen/Hatcher/Janssen/Rodriguez/Peralta/Howell/Badenhop would be awesome

@Disgruntled Goat yeah.. so.. Burke Badenhop and/or Neal Cotts as 'late inning' additions

..and a minor league deal for Jesse Crain too.

@InsideThePark Not with this infield. He has nice GB tendencies. Id rather have him than Cotts for that reason, though theyre both good choices.

@PagansOedipalComplex @Hoze he's older so Im not expecting him to require anywhere near $200 million

My targets

FA: Jesse Crain (minor league deal since hurt all last year), Burke Badenhop, Neal Cotts

Trade: Davis? McGee? Cishek? Ottavino? There are too many probable options but these guys came to mind. The first 3 are 2 years removed from FA and they are in small market teams. Ottavino is 3 years away but perhaps COL could use trading him for prospects. Perhaps none of guys are remotely available this offseason..

Yeah.. perhaps only of the return is favorable for them. It would interesting to see if this ever hits the rumor mill.

This seems like a good ranking (RA9-WAR 2013-2014) to look for potential 'late inning' help. The FA agent has a representative in Neal Cotts and Francisco Rodriguez within the top 40. It would be interesting any of the rest of the players could be available...

Wade Davis, Joe Smith, Jon Papelbon and Steve Cishek are really options but they would seem unlikely.

What about Adam Ottavino? He's under contract for 3 more years but he's already 29 and not necessarily a franchise piece to an organization that isnt going to compete anytime soon.

@Mike Petriello @Hoze since he didnt, a minor league deal may be possible. If so, acquiring him would be make a lot of sense.

Neal Cotts or Jesse Crain would be a nice 'late inning' addition- Crain being the preferable choice but does come with more concern. And then there's Badenhop as well. Any of the 3 (at or under 3.53 xFIP since 2012) would be nice.

@PagansOedipalComplex @Hoze @Whose on First yup. McGee and Cishek are under control for a couple more years. Do you think that TB/MIA could deal them away this offseason? I hope so. Having either of these 3 guys would be worth parting a top prospect or two (not the ones already exempt)
