Not just King's unabridged STAND, but Gaiman's "Author's Preferred Text" of AMERICAN GODS, Heinlein's uncut STRANGER IN A STRANGE LAND and others, the Del Rey/Wandering Star Robert E. Howard collections, going back to manuscript versions of the stories and so on...
...it seems like the "Director's Cut" already exists in the book field.

Hold out for an Avengers gig, Jon!

@noisyking As I understand it, the reason lefties are at an advantage in pitching, too, is that batters, by training and experience, build their swings for what they're going to face most often. If most pitchers were lefties they'd train for that and have an advantage, but they don't, because they need to focus on what they'll see most often.
And now I feel like I should add a paragraph recommending a betting site. But I won't.

Sadly, Superman grew up a Royals fan. And these days he roots for the Metropolis Monarchs.
It's Aquaman who grew up in coastal Maine.
He might be a good manager, though, being a king and all. And the fact that flying fish keep buzzing the visitors' dugout is just a freakish coincidence, that's all.

@SoxCrazy@EthanUK We just need to find a Japanese pitcher named Nohita.

@EthanUK It's far more intimidating than Balfour.
I suppose I shouldn't be shocked when I Google "Viking porn" and find out there actually is some. Even Viking cartoon porn. Yeeks!
At least it wasn't necessary. Go Sox!

That was the most weak-ass two-run inning ever. But I'll take it, I'll take it.
Well, Dag Hammarskjold. That was no good.
"Lackey strikes out the side." Not a sentence I hear much, but I like it!
J.D. Drew! I remember you!
@hayes So that's two innings that have ended with the same play, right?
Chronicles of REDDICK! Woo!
@GarrettCRW How about when Scoots muffs two?
C'mon, Marco. Lackey needs good fielding.
Okay, John Lackey. Pitch well. I'm not expecting it, but I'm hoping...
Fox thinks people out here want to watch the Angels and A's, so I'm watching MLB's Gameday and listening to streamed WEEI...
Another oddity of that cover -- Crawford is in a home uniform, Jeter is in an away uniform, but they're in Yankee Stadium. Also not Mark's error, but the SI editors' request.
My pal Mark Bagley drew that SI cover, and I got to weigh in on which players to show.
[I also pointed out that he'd left off Crawford's neck tattoo, and he offered to add it in, but the SI editors didn't think it mattered. The whole thing was done in a tearing hurry; maybe two days from the assignment to the magazine going off to press.]
@BB.13 @Tex19 It's Sok. Everyone should know that.
The singular of Red Sox is Red Sok.

Cut that out, Aceves. It's the white thing with five corners. Over it.

Carl Carl Carl Carl Carl Carl...
When Cameron was in Egypt land
Let my Cameron hit...
Okay, Adrian. That starts it.
@English Sox Fan Adrian could double and Carl could double him in?
Okay, who's gonna be the hero? Adrian or Carl?
These guys can't hit, right? So stop letting them get hits. Duh.
Okay, Jacoby. Steal everything.
Pooey to JD Drew from me.
@BeardedInMD @hannah82 And giant ice-cube brain matter tumbling around the room.
The dead-glove curse struck, but Salty overcame it!
@Sharpie Indeed. Now a popout, please. Then a walkoff.
We need a double play here badly. Or a couple of pop outs in foul territory, given that the Sox's gloves have been anesthetized.
At this point, Pap getting thrown out may be a blessing.
Every now and then, someone just drugs the Sox for an inning.
@English Sox Fan As if such a thing is possible. Tut.
This Crawford fellow has possibilities, he does.
This Adrian person, he's intriguing too. And that Ellsbury chap and that...Papi...I think they're just spiffing!
It's gotten so I'd rather go up against a former Cy Young winner than a "lefty nobody."

Can we ritually sacrifice someone to the Haddock God, and end this?
Albers and Morales both, maybe?
Oh dear god.
@hayes Spit that ice water out, young lady.
